The Cinnamon Care Collection is delighted to be a sponsor of the 2017 Great British Care Awards.

The awards recognise the amazing work that thousands of dedicated people deliver 365 days each year to the most vulnerable of our society, and we all know that being a carer, or indeed, working in a care home, takes a special kind of person. Not just do these people go about their daily jobs – whether it be supporting residents, creating nutritious and appealing dishes, working in the community or maintaining the smooth running of a care facility – at the forefront of each person’s day are the residents being cared for; after all, it is their home.

Working in care is not just something you can learn from a text book, or in the classroom. Care and compassion is something that is in the bones of these incredible people; it’s beyond a career choice for them – it’s in their nature.
They are the ones who inspire and empower the residents who live in care homes across the country to enjoy happy and independent lives. Lives filled with meaningful activities, great food and laughter every single day. All delivered by these special people, who create strong relationships with residents and their loved ones to provide care and support as unique as they are.

Caring for people is a responsible and demanding role which requires significant skill, dedication, commitment and compassion. It is these unsung heroes, the challenges they face and their deep commitment to valuing the dignity, equality and diversity of residents and staff that make them the backbone to any care home.

At Cinnamon, we are extremely privileged to work with such a dedicated care team and ancillary staff who offer vast healthcare expertise combined with caring personalities that simply come as second nature to them.
