With the countdown to the final closing date just 6 weeks away, this year’s Great British Care Awards has already seen a record number of nominations.

Nominations have once again come in from all corners of social care, representing the private, statutory and the voluntary sectors; domiciliary, residential, nursing and specialist care.

Now in their seventh year the Great British Care Awards have established themselves as ‘The People’s Awards’, where recognition of the frontline social care workforce remains at the heart of the events.

This year we are delighted to announce that finalists who have booked on a table of 10 will be offered free places.  This exciting new initiative will ensure the awards are more inclusive to all parts of the social care sector, including small providers and voluntary organisations as well as the larger organisations.  Offering free places to all finalists will further promote joint working between the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers.

Shortlisted finalists will be invited to attend a judging day in their region where the judges have the unenviable task of choosing the category winners.

The category winners will be announced at the regional awards ceremony and gala dinner. The winners from each region will then go through to battle it out at the national finals which take place in Spring 2017 at the ICC in Birmingham. All National Winners will be invited to a Parliamentary Reception.
