There are many 1,000’s of care workers making a vital contribution to the lives of many people each and every day, with their work often going unrecognised. We understand that a career in care can be emotionally challenging and keeping a calm, reassuring and compassionate head when working under intense pressure, with some extremely vulnerable people, is a skill to be admired.

On the flip side, a career in care can be an extremely rewarding career choice too. The immense joy and happiness that many care workers bring to the lives of the people they work with enhances physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. They provide companionship and friendship and vitally important; they support people to live more independently.

These awards pay tribute to those people. It showcases the compassion and care they deliver and the creativity they apply to their work – it is a celebration of the industry’s many unsung heroes.

The team at Soap Creative Agency is delighted to be supporting the 2017 Great British Care Awards. For the past 10 years, the Soap team has been providing design, marketing and PR support to many UK companies which deliver care services to people across the country, of all age ranges and with varying care needs.

We have seen first-hand the energy and dedication applied by so many carers, and are privileged to have supported them in helping create some magical and memorable moments in the lives of the people they care for.

So inspired were we by the tireless enthusiasm of so many carers, we at Soap donated design, marketing and PR services, free of charge, to a Bristol based dementia charity www.bristoldaa.co.uk for which Rebecca Hacker (Director at Soap) is a trustee.
